Toy Fair 2025: Must-Have Toys Your Kids Will Love
Toy Fair 2025 was an absolute whirlwind of innovation and excitement! It felt incredible to be back in NYC to witness all the fun! As a digital parenting expert with a background in childhood education, I was on a mission to uncover the toys that truly empower kids and spark joy. The trends were captivating, from the evolving landscape of MESH (Mental, Emotional, Social Health) to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) and everything in between, to the rise of personalized play and toys that seamlessly blend past, present, and future. Collectibles continue to be hot, and the sheer volume of exciting new licenses and brand collaborations was astounding. Plus, with toys and games based on highly anticipated movies like How to Train Your Dragon, Snow White, Lilo & Stitch, and A Minecraft Movie, there’s much to look forward to! There’s too much to share in one post, but expect exciting toy roundups, gift guides, and even toy giveaways in the coming months as we approach the holiday season. Here’s a recap of some of the toys we saw and played with at Toy Fair New York 2025, and I’m beyond thrilled to share it with you!

Magna-Tiles: Racing Innovation Takes Hold at Toy Fair 2025

Magna-Tiles just leveled up! At Toy Fair New York, they unveiled Rail Racers, their first-ever fan-inspired creation. We love this! Co-developed with a dad of three, these magnetic track pieces make building ball runs and racing adventures a breeze. If your kids love marble runs but struggle with the wobbly construction, this is your solution. Rail Racers are fun to build with, easy for kids to assemble independently, and fully compatible with all other Magna-Tiles sets. Get ready for magnetic racing fun like never before!
Hasbro: Reimagining Classics and Sparking New Play

Hasbro came to play at Toy Fair 2025, and their booth was buzzing! They’re bringing fresh twists to beloved classics. Imagine Connect 4 Frenzy, where you bounce discs for a fast-paced challenge. Or Monopoly, now with expansion packs that let you buy everything (yes, even the Jail!) and a digital-age makeover with Monopoly App Banking. The sheer variety of themed Monopoly boards, including adult-friendly versions, was impressive. And don’t forget the adorable Furby Minis, perfect for collecting! Plus, the PLAY-DOH Barbie collaboration is set to unleash kids’ inner fashion designers with DOH-ified creations. For high-speed action, the next generation of BEYBLADE X promises epic battles. Hasbro’s lineup is a fantastic blend of nostalgia and innovation.
LEGO: Building Worlds, From Minecraft to Bluey
LEGO fans, get ready! Toy Fair 2025 showcased LEGO’s most extensive portfolio yet, packed with excitement. This year, LEGO dives into the digital world with new loads of new LEGO Minecraft sets, embark on intergalactic adventures with LEGO Star Wars, and get ready for the heartwarming fun of LEGO Bluey, a brand-new NEW LEGO BBC Studios Bluey partnership that’s sure to be a hit with little kids (and parents).

I was lucky enough to get a behind-the-scenes look at all things LEGO, and I can tell you that you won’t want to miss these sets when they hit shelves. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months! And let’s not forget the ever-popular LEGO Botanicals line, which continues to bloom with beautiful and intricate designs. We truly enjoyed walking through LEGO Central Park and experiencing all the fun and exciting NEW LEGO coming soon!

Learning Through Play: Educational Insights, hand2mind, and Learning Resources Deliver!
These top educational brands remain leaders in educational entertainment and play, and their Toy Fair 2025 lineup did not disappoint! As someone who regularly incorporates their products into my homeschool enrichment programs and children’s play, I’m always eager to see their latest innovations.
Cooper, the STEM Robot by Learning Resources, stole the show this year. This interactive ball robot engages kids in screen-free coding and STEM challenges, fostering solo and collaborative play. With the ability to react to their environment, talk, sing, and even dance together, these robots will captivate young learners. They even come in a class set and include lesson plans and activities to make coding lessons fun and interactive for all kids.

Beyond robots, I was impressed by their commitment to hands-on coding education. The new Block-Based Coding Demonstration Sets and Student Activity Sets (coming Fall 2025) make teaching Scratch coding accessible and engaging, even without screens. As a digital parenting expert and educator, I appreciate finding new ways to immerse kids in computer science exploration without relying on technology.

Of course, these brands continue to excel in providing hands-on STEM resources. From the STEM Explorer Geo-Glow Art and GeoSafari Microscope Science Sets to the 3D Sticker Maker Kits and Kanoodle Head-to-Head battle sets, there’s something to ignite every child’s curiosity. I was also delighted to see the expansion of their lovable Numberblocks line from hand2mind, with new additions like a wooden block set, the Sing-Along Superhero Octoblock, and the Blockzee Balance Activity Set. These playful resources make learning math concepts an absolute joy for little kids.

Finally, I love Hand2mind’s commitment to social-emotional development as they continue to provide toys in the MESH realm, now with the Feelings Family line. These storybooks, plushies, and hand puppets offer a safe and supportive way for children to explore and express their emotions. We spotted the Feelings Family and many other feelings and emotions-themed sets and playthings to support kids’ social-emotional growth. Way to go!
Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty: A Sensory Playground of Innovation at Toy Fair 2025
Imagination and creative play are essential for development, and a few finds genuinely captured my attention. For tactile creativity, Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty continues to impress. This isn’t just putty; it’s a tool for focus and creativity. Crazy Aaron’s continues to push the boundaries of tactile play with their latest Thinking Putty creations. At Toy Fair 2025, they showcased a dazzling array of new textures, colors, and effects that elevate sensory exploration to an entirely new level, including exciting new dough textures and holiday-themed varieties. Beyond the classic putty experience, Crazy Aaron’s introduces innovative formulas that react to light, temperature, and even magnets.

Imagine a putty that shimmers with holographic brilliance, changes color with the warmth of your hands, or dances to the pull of a magnet – that’s the kind of innovation we saw! I love that all these new putties aren’t just toys but tools for stress relief, focus, and creative expression. Whether your kid is a seasoned putty enthusiast or new to tactile play, Crazy Aaron’s new releases offer a sensory playground of endless possibilities. Perfect for kids needing to fidget or adults looking for a fun way to destress.
